Attachments

An attachment column holds files on a row — a contract beside the vendor, a scan beside the invoice.

Adding the column

Open the table's item menu and choose Add attachment column.

You will not find Attachment in the ordinary column type picker, and the menu entry greys out once the table has one. That is because a table may have exactly one attachment column. Files are heavy and their permissions are answered per table; one column keeps that answerable.

The column's type is locked once created. It cannot be cast to text or anything else — a cast would fall through to text and silently detach every file on every row while reporting success.

Working with files

A cell holds a list of files, not one.

  • Add files by uploading into the cell. Several can be in flight at once.
  • Enter commits the list as one value. An unchanged list commits nothing.
  • Escape cancels, aborting any uploads still in flight.
  • Each file offers Download, Open in a new tab, a copy-link action, and Delete.

Files are capped at 100 MB each.

Detaching is an ordinary edit. Removing a file from a cell is just committing the list without it — the row changes, and the file itself is untouched wherever else it is used.

Deleting a file

Deleting the file itself is different from detaching it, and the dialog shows you the reach before you confirm:

Contracts (3 cells) · 1 table you cannot see

The same file can sit in many cells and in tables you have no access to, so the count tells you what a delete would take with it — including, honestly, that some of it is invisible to you.

What attachments cost

Attachment bytes count against the storage of the organization that owns the table — see usage and limits.

Downloading one costs egress, charged to the organization you are working in. A file leaving Mycorr costs exactly what a CSV of the same size costs.

A file is only reclaimed once nothing references it anywhere, and only after a later sweep confirms that is still true — so restoring a table from the Trash never comes back missing its files.

Limits worth knowing

A table with attachments cannot be published to the catalog. Catalog data is unbilled, so its files would stay billed to the source organization while being reachable by everyone.

Computed tables hold no files. The attachment type is not available on that path at all.

AI assistants see file names and change nothing. Through the MCP server an agent can read the names of attached files, and that is all — it cannot upload, detach, clear a cell, delete the column, or cast it. A cleared attachment cell is a detach, and detaching every file on a row is not something to leave to an agent.

If you want an assistant to help with an attached document, ask it for the row; the canvas link it hands back opens for you and not for it.
